Synopsis

Manhattan Theatre Club presents the world premiere of Humor Abuse, the new one-man-show created by performer Lorenzo Pisoni and director Erica Schmidt.

Humor Abuse is the unique story of Pisoni's upbringing as the youngest member of the Pickle Family Circus, the Bay Area's tiny big top that entertained thousands of people worldwide and launched the careers of several legendary performers. Filled with the clowning that Pisoni learned at his father's knee, and the wonder, heartache and complexity of stepping into (and out of) his father's shoes, Humor Abuse shows that running away with the circus isn't always all fun and games.

Review: Humor Abuse is a Hit!! by nhope

Humor Abuse is a hit you cant miss, a family show for the whole family for ages 1 to 101 and more! It may be a one man show -- but it feels like a lot more. 80 minutes flew by!!!! Lorenzo Pisoni, son of the great clown Lorenzo Pickle stage name of Larry Pisoni, owner of the Pickle Circus in San Francisco, takes you down his memory lane the multimedia way with photos, dropping weights, juggling, and expected thrills. He is an agile and charismatic talent. He is a current Broadway star and former member of Cirque du Soleil. Mr. Pisoni is also a loving son and story teller who is willing and able to share his thrills and angst growing up.

Review: Humor Abuse by azsazsazs

NOT TO BE MISSED! A one man show that is filled with humor, sentiment, insight and such warmth. Lorenzo is wonderful. He will make you want to run off and if not join a circus just run off with him. Daniel Radcliffe was only half right. He is gorgeous not only on the outside but on the inside.
