Synopsis

Hell's Kitchen is the musical story of an era in New York City history that will never come again. It takes place in the early 1960's in a neighborhood both feared and respected by those who stepped within it's borders. It follows the life of Danny Vincente and his friends and family through the warmth and the heartbreak of their lives. It has doowop on street corners, street smart scams, rooftop sanctuaries, mobsters, strippers and the scintillating rock scene of the true 1960's. It has 25 songs based on the values of old Broadway.

Review: Waste of time, waste of money by johnnyboy1

This show was a waste of some fairly decent talent. It seemed like most of the kids in the cast were fresh out of theater school, so I can understand their eagerness to be in a musical in New York, but this show was almost laughably bad. There were a few people who were terribly miscast Im looking at you, Aimee Corley, and the direction was totally flat and boring. The choreography was amateurish, and the script was so silly that I DID laugh out loud when a major character dies. The songs were good, and the cast more or less sang well, but the writer seriously needs to throw out the script and start over, and then he needs to cut out about ten of the songs. Then maybe, just maybe, youll have a shot at Broadway. But shame on him for taking advantage of all these kids and their Broadway dreams!

I really liked the show. The music was great and great dancing and acting from the cast. Enjoyable evening, I would recommend it.
