Guys as Dolls
Guys as Dolls Tickets and Information
Synopsis
Guys As Dolls, Where Broadway Meets Burlesque, presents its 2003 New York City opening. The popular Cabaret show, with live singing, celebrity illusion, comedic parodies and Broadway-style dance comes to Ellen's Stardust Diner/Iridium Nightclub.
The show, called "one of the best revues" by the New York Times this past summer, is part Cabaret act, part Broadway musical and features actors/singers Joe Posa and Joe Schmitz as they transform themselves into 12 fabulous "dolls" including Barbra Streisand, Marilyn Monroe, Liza Minnelli, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears and more. This is not the usual lip-synched drag revue. Guys As Dolls leads the audience through a fast-paced, witty hour of off-color comedy and dead-on celebrity impersonations. Joe Posa, and Joe Schmitz, stars of Guys As Dolls, are joined this season by dancing sensation Richie Mastascusa. To warm up the crowd, this New York opening will feature a live impersonation of comedienne Joan Rivers.
There are no performances from November 28-30.
