Synopsis

With a dazzling array of Broadway stars and top-notch restaurateurs, The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender Center hosts Garden Party 24: A Taste of Pride, the official kick-off to New York's gay pride festivities and the Center's oldest and most popular fundraiser.

Performers include two-time Tony Award-winner Tonya Pinkins (Jelly's Last Jam and Caroline, Or Change - currently in Radio Golf); Broadway's latest star, Leslie Kritzer of Legally Blonde; the Lavender Light gospel choir; pop recording artist (and Duncan Sheik protege) Chris Garneau; and the evening's host, comedian Kate Clinton. More stars to be announced.

More than 25 restaurants from across the city will offer sampling booths of their finest cuisine, everything from French to Asian to Mexican dishes. Restaurants include Agave, Amy's Bread, Artepasta, Brick Lane Curry House, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Cube 63, Divertimento Bistro, Due Amici, East village Ice Cream Factory, Five Boroughs Ice Cream, Florent, Gonzo, Little Pie Company, Macelleria, MUD Truck, Outback Steakhouse, Peanut Butter & Co., Pier Sixty, Piola, San Luigi Italian Kitchen, Shrimpy's, Smorgas Chef, Supermac, Swich, Tour Restaurant, Treats Truck, Village Restaurant, and West Bank Cafe.

The fundraiser will also include an auction, online with eBay for the first time, which includes everything from lunch with singer Anthony Rapp to a vacation in Miami. Auction items change every ten days. Visit www.gaycenter.org/gp24 to bid.

Ticket prices include restaurant fare, an open bar, and entertainment.
