Synopsis

In an immigrant community of postwar New York, a twisted turn of events brings a Jew to a peculiar dilemma. He is a husband of three different women. This is not an anecdote - this is a plot of the Steps Theater's new production - Enemies, A Love Story, adapted from the novel of Nobel's Prize winner Isaac Bashevis Singer. Originally written in Yiddish, this work was translated into many languages. Its universal philosophical ideas that relate to the multicultural concept of Steps Theater, determined our choice. The play is in Russian.
