Synopsis
Obie Award winners David Greenspan and Everett Quinton star in the world premiere of William M. Hoffman and Anthony Holland's Cornbury: The Queen's Governor, to be presented by Theatre Askew at the Hudson Guild Theatre, directed by Tim Cusack.
This satirical look at a lost chapter in New York history revolves around Edward Hyde, Lord Cornbury, who was the English governor of New York and New Jersey, from 1702-1708. A controversial figure, he is now remembered primarily for his rumored habit of dressing as his first cousin, Queen Anne.
