A Top Five smash hit at the 2005 Minnesota Fringe Festival, David Mann's Corleone: The Shakespearean Godfather makes its New York debut as part of the 10th annual New York International Fringe Festival. Featuring a classically-trained New York cast and performed in verse, this is a comic/tragic parody of the classic mob tale.
What if Shakespeare had written The Godfather? Will Prince Michael assume the throne of Don Vito Corleone? Performed in iambic pentameter, Corleone: The Shakespearean Godfather parodies the classic mob tale. With swordfights, conspirators, and Fredo the fool, it's a poetic bloodbath of Shakespearean proportions.
