Synopsis

"A hilarious unique show featuring elements of Monty Python, Eddie Izzard and Benny Hill. Suitable for all ages!"

Once upon a time, long ago a classic story became the embodiment of the outrageous styles and fashions of the reign of Louis XIV. Charles Perrault took the story and fashioned it into the story that we recognize and know. And then the English invented Pantomime and theater was never the same. The new version of Cinderella written and directed by Richard Mazda gives the classic tale a fascinating spin: The Ugly Sisters are played by men, Prince Charming and his servant Buttons are played by girls playing male characters, and Dobbin the Panto horse morphs into the King and Queen. Prince Charming seems a little fastidious and obsessed with shoes. The Fairy Godmother is a wanna be rapper whose reluctant use of her magic wand helps Cinderella bag her camp Prince.

Although there are many jokes and double entendres which are aimed squarely at adults the show is suitable for all ages from 3 to 103.

All final performance ticket holders are invited to The Queens Players Xmas Party which follows the performance on the 18th at 10pm in the venue.
