Synopsis

13th Street Repertory Theatre presents Cafe Society, a dark comedy of caffeine, co-dependence and customer service. When Karen orders her morning coffee, the teenaged girl behind the counter insists on more. Much more. Young Lucy wants to be "friends." Will Karen give up her New York right to keep those around her at arms' length? Or will she be sucked into Lucy's self-made society of grovelling gourmands? An urban odyssey through America's quest to satisfy its cravings, no matter the cost. Emily King directs this play by Robert Simonson.

Limited engagement through June. Closing date TBA.
