Synopsis

Belly of a Drunken Piano began as a workshop production at the renowned Adelaide Cabaret Festival. Under the title Tom Waits for No Man, the show went on to sell out theaters in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia, garnering rave reviews and a sell-out cult following.

Drawing on his personal experiences, as well as Wait's vast musical history, Stewart D'Arrietta adds new dimension to the music, as he shares his personal love affair with the "prince of melancholy's" brilliant songs. Waits' colorful misfits come to life in this powerful, poignant and innovative show.
