Theater for the New City presents:
Artfuckers
Artfuckers Tickets and Information
Synopsis
How do you make a name for yourself while living in the shadow of your famous parents? This question is continually asked in Artfuckers, a play about the second generation artistic elite of Downtown Manhattan, the children of the moneyed art scenesters of the 1980s. The story follows a group of young, hot, creative twenty-somethings who are collaborating on their friend's debut showing at NY Fashion Week. At the center of it all are the artist Owen Fitzgerald and his girlfriend Bella Schneider. When Owen gets bad reviews on his first solo show and overdoses soon after, he is forced to confront the lives he and his friends lead, searching for the balance between indulgence and inspiration in his art and relationships.
