Synopsis

Lincoln Center's American Songbook -- the acclaimed series devoted to the popular American song, its singers and songwriters -- opens its fifth season with concerts by the Tony Award-winning musical theatre star Kristin Chenoweth.

Ms. Chenoweth -- a Tony Award winner for her performance in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown on Broadway -- comes to American Songbook direct from an engagement at the Donmar Warehouse in London. Ms. Chenoweth's concerts for American Songbook will be her only New York appearances prior to starring in the Broadway musical Wicked next year. These American Songbook concerts will be choreographed by Kathleen Marshall.
