Synopsis

The Brooklyn Comedy Company, in its continuing effort to bring high quality comedy events, presents a break from the comedic norm.

4 Shades of Black is a stand-up comedy show with a purpose. Featuring four black standout stand-ups with credits including Premium Blend on Comedy Central, the Aspen Comedy Festival, the New York City Underground Comedy Festival (NYUCF) and more, this group of diverse stand-ups prove that breaking the black comedic stereotype is not only funny, it's hilarious.

Featuring:

Larry Bailey -- Born in Queens, NY, Larry's laid-back yet no-nonsense style of comedy has been met with overwhelming accolades and a demand for him throughout NYC. Called "...hilarious!" by balijinks.com, Larry continues his comedic rise with credits including his placing as a Sal's Comedy Hole Laugh Off Finalist in 2005 and numerous appearances in the NYUCF.

Michelle Buteau -- Hailing from New Jersey, Michelle mixes her Jamaican and Haitian heritage into a smooth style of urban funk meets girl next door. Michelle spins pop culture throughout her set like an episode of Best Week Ever. She was crowned the NYUCF 2004 Best New Comic and was a finalist in the Budweiser Ladies of Laughter competition. Most recently Michelle was featured on the 2005-2006 season of Comedy Central's Premium Blend and continues receiving praise.

Elon James White -- From Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, Elon's instant likeability and smooth storytelling style engages the audience with his humorous tales of family, his overly rough neighborhood, and his struggle to find a place in it all. He was featured on the stand-up comedy series "Hey Mon!", and has appeared numerous times throughout the NYUCF.

Baron Vaughn -- A Las Vegas native, Baron has broken into the NYC Comedy scene with his mix of energy, musical prowess, and overall dominating stage presence. Recently Baron was featured in this year's Aspen Comedy Festival, Awesomely Oversexed on VH1, and numerous national commercials.

Appropriate For Ages: 18
