The films, which are adapted from the novels of J.K. Rowling, also feature a host of theater stars, including Equus co-star Richard Griffiths, Ralph Fiennes, Maggie Smith, Imelda Staunton, David Tennant, Alan Rickman, Fiona Shaw, and Michael Gambon.
The final book in the series Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will become a two-part film; the first part of which set begin filming in mid-February, shortly after Radcliffe and Griffiths complete the Broadway run of Equus, to be released in 2010. The next film in theaters will be Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, to be released in July 2009.
