Universal Studios Home's special 2-disc DVD and Blu-Ray Hi Def version of the hit film Mamma Mia! has earned over $30 million since its release on Tuesday, December 16. The new package includes a variety of bonus materials, deleted scenes, and onscreen lyrics, among other special features.
The film, which features the music of the Swedish supergroup ABBA, is directed by Phyllida Lloyd, and stars Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård, Christine Baranski, Julie Walters, Amanda Seyfried, and Dominic Cooper, all of whom provide their own vocals.
The film has grossed over $500 million globally, and is now the number one film of all time in Great Britain. It was recently nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Picture (Musical or Comedy) and also got a nod for Streep's performance.
