Lucie Arnaz, Debby Boone, Raul Esparza, James Naughton, et al. Set for Lyrics & Lyricists

Partial casting has been announced for the 2010 season of 92nd Street Y's Lyrics & Lyricists.

Lucie Arnaz will host and perform in Babalu: The American Songbook Goes Latin - Featuring the Music of the Desi Arnaz Orchestra (January 9-11), with musical direction by Ron Abel. She will be joined by her brother Desi Arnaz, Jr., as well as vocalists Raúl Esparza and Valarie Pettiford and dancers Kristine Bendul and Mark Stuart Eckstein.

Eric Comstock, Barbara Fasano, and Jeff Harnar will be featured in Misty: Johnny Burke After Hours (February 20-22), hosted by Daryl Sherman and directed by Caitlin Carter. The evening is a saloon-style tribute to lyricist Johnny Burke.

Debby Boone, James Naughton, Billy Stritch, and Karen Ziemba will star in Fred & Ginger In So Many Words: The Astaire-Rogers Songbook (March 20-22), hosted by Deborah Grace Winer, with musical direction by John Oddo and stage direction by Mark Waldrop.

Sheldon Harnick will host Poisoning Pigeons in the Park: The Art of the Satiric Comedy Song (May 8-10), with artistic director Rob Fisher and a cast to be announced.

The season will conclude with In the Cool, Cool, Cool of the Evening: The Stardust of Hoagy Carmichael (June 5-7), featuring Laura Marie Duncan, Capathia Jenkins, and Clarke Thorell. Ted Sperling hosts, with Jeffrey Klitz as music director.
