Two-time Tony Award winner Lily Tomlin will offer a one-night only benefit performance of An Intimate Evening with Lily Tomlin at Dixon Place on November 23 at 8pm. Comedienne Reno will host.
Tomlin will serve up a selection of her timeless characters, including the beloved Ernestine and Edith Ann. Additionally, she will pepper the evening with comic insights and witty observations about the human condition and current affairs. The event, which benefits Dixon Place, will also feature a dessert reception with both Tomlin and Reno.
Tomlin received a special Tony in 1977 for her solo show Appearing Nitely and the 1986 Best Actress Tony for The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe, the solo, multi-character piece she wrote with longtime partner Jane Wagner. That show was revived on Broadway in 2000. Her many film and television credits include Nine to Five, A Prairie Home Companion, Nashville, The West Wing, Desperate Housewives, Will & Grace, Murphy Brown, and Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In.
