F. Murray Abraham, Sterling K. Brown, Sam Tsoutsouvas, and Elizabeth Waterson will appear in a staged reading of Henrik Ibsen's The Pretenders, translated by Michael Mayer, at 7:30pn on Monday November 30 at Theater at St. Clements as part of the Red Bull Theater's Revelation Readings series. Craig Baldwin will direct the reading.
Ibsen's rarely performed play examines the corrupting force of political power. The cast will also feature Joel Bernstein, Aysan Celik, Nigel Gore, Delphi Harrington, Caitlin O'Connell, Michael Potts, Steven Skybell, Alexander Sovronsky, and Nick Westrate.
A talkback with Marvin Carlson from Theatre-CUNY Grad Center and Joan Templeton, president of the Ibsen Society, will follow the reading.
