Elaine Stritch will present Tony and Emmy Award winner Mandy Patinkin with the Prince Rainier III Award for his outstanding contribution to the arts at The Princess Grace Awards Gala, October 21, at Cipriani 42nd Street beginning at 6:30pm. Maggie Rodriguez, anchor of The Early Show, will be the evening's emcee.

Every year, the Princess Grace Foundation identifies and supports emerging artists in theater, dance and film with awards and grants to help them continue their work in the arts. Tony nominee Martha Plimpton will present the Theater Awards, while award winning choreographer/director Chet Walker will present the awards for Dance. The Gala will take place in the presence of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Patinkin won a Tony for his role in Evita, and his additional Broadway credits include Sunday in the Park With George, The Wild Party, Falsettos, Mamaloshen, and The Secret Garden. He received an Emmy Award for his work in Chicago Hope, and his additional film and television credits include Criminal Minds, The Princess Bride, Yentl, and Ragtime. Past recipients of the Prince Rainier III Award include Glenn Close, George Lucas, Twyla Tharp, and Mikhail Baryshnikov.

Tickets begin at $1,000. For more information, visit www.pgfusa.org.
