Lemon Anderson, Eric Bogosian, Mary Gaitskill, Jamal Joseph, and John Turturro will be among the participants in Breakout: Voices From Inside, to be held at The Greene Space (44 Charlton in New York City), on Monday, November 9 at 7pm.
Presented as part of WNYC Radio's The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space's monthly dialogue series, "The NEXT New York Conversation," the event will feature writers, actors, performers, and poets reading pieces chosen from the best of the winning manuscripts of PEN's Prison Writing Contest, and from the diaries that men and women have written as part of PEN's collaboration with the Anne Frank Center, USA. The event will be streamed live as video webcast at www.wnyc.org/thegreenespace.
Proceeds will benefit PEN's Prison Writing Program. Tickets are $50 and $75, and can be purchased by clicking here.
