(© Joseph Marzullo/Retna) | Tony Award nominee Raul Esparza has been cast in a possibly recurring role on the hit ABC series Pushing Daisies, according to TVGuide.com. He will play a traveling homeopathic-antidepressant representative/salesman named Alfredo Aldarisio.
Pushing Daisies stars Off-Broadway veteran Lee Pace as Ned, a man who can revive the dead with one touch. The cast also includes Broadway stars Kristin Chenoweth, Anna Friel, Ellen Greene, and Swoosie Kurtz.
Esparza is a two-time Tony nominee for Company and Taboo, both of which earned him Drama Desk Awards. His other Broadway credits include Cabaret, The Rocky Horror Show, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. He will return to Broadway in a revival of Harold Pinter's The Homecoming, opposite Eve Best and Ian McShane, which begins performances on November 23 at the Cort.
