Actors Sinead Cusack and Rufus Sewell, playwright Richard Nelson, and director David Jones will participate in An Evening with Trevor Nunn, presented by The Shakespeare Society at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College on Monday, November 5th.

The 90-minute retrospective and tribute to the famed director will include an onstage conversation with longtime friend and fellow stage and film director Jones, focusing on Nunn's extraordinary Shakespearean career at the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal National Theater and elsewhere.

Cusack and Sewell -- both of whom are featured in Nunn's production of Tom Stoppard's Rock 'n' Roll, currently playing Broadway's Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre -- will read selections from Shakespeare's work. Nelson will speak about his own collaborations and friendship with Nunn. Film clips from Nunn's productions of Macbeth (with Ian McKellen and Judi Dench) and The Merchant of Venice (with Henry Goodman), will also be shown, and there will be a videotaped greeting from Nunn's longtime friend and collaborator Patrick Stewart.

The former artistic director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, Nunn has won Tony Awards for his direction of The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, Cats, and Les Miserables. He also received Tony nominations for directing All's Well That Ends Well, Starlight Express, Aspects of Love, Sunset Boulevard, Not About Nightingales, and Oklahoma! He is currently represented on Broadway with Rock 'n' Roll, which he first directed in London.
