John O'Hurley will appear as Billy Flynn in the San Francisco production of the John Kander-Fred Ebb-Bob Fosse musical Chicago for both performances on Saturday, October 28. He will step in for star Huey Lewis, who is scheduled to play the role for all other performances at the Orpheum Theatre, October 24-November 5.
O'Hurley has played Billy Flynn on Broadway and is expected to be part of the show's 10th anniversary celebration on November 14. He is best known for his appearances on the ABC reality show Dancing with the Stars and for his role of J. Peterman on the hit sitcom Seinfeld. He has also starred on numerous soap operas, including Santa Barbara, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless, and he hosted the game show Family Feud. Among his theatrical credits are productions of The Pirates of Penzance and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
