Shoshana Bean, Deborah Cox, Kate Shindle, et al. Set for Broadway in South Africa: The Concert

Broadway in South Africa: The Concert will hold its second annual benefit concert at 7:30pm on Monday, October 5 at Peter Norton Symphony Space. The event will be directed by Jen Bender, with musical direction by Jesse Vargas.

The event will feature appearances by Uzo Aduba, Shoshana Bean, Sean Bradford, Deborah Cox, Lilli Cooper, Chelsea Krombach, Darius de Haas, Asmeret Ghebremichael, Frankie James Grande, Adam Kantor, Tracy McDowell, Selloane Nkhela, Courtney Reed, Kate Shindle, Christopher Spaulding and Lisa Nicole Wilkerson.

In addition, a new work of authentic traditional South African flare will be created by Bongi Duma and performed by his fellow South African castmates from The Lion King. There will also be a concert dance piece choreographed by Charles O. Anderson, artistic director and founder of Dance Theater X.

Contributing composers, who will create world premiere songs for the event, include Deborah Abramson, Scott Alan, Jeff Bowen, Craig Carnelia, Matt Gould, Daniel Larsen, Ryan Scott Oliver, Jeremy Schoenfeld and Katie Thompson.
