Nancy Anderson, Joanna Gleason, Jenny Powers, et al. Set for TRU Love Benefit

Joanna Gleason, Jenny Powers, Fisher Stevens, and Ramsey Faragallah will join the previously announced Nancy Anderson, Brian Dykstra, Mark Mozingo and Eli Zoller for Theater Resources Unlimited’s 8th annual TRU Love Benefit to be held at Noon on Sunday, November 8 at Caroline’s on Broadway.

At the event, Elysabeth Kleinhans, the founder of 59E59 Theatres, will receive the TRU “Spirit of Theater” Award for her ongoing generosity towards TRU as well as the off-Broadway producing community in general, and Allan Buchman, the founder of the Culture Project will be acknowledged with the TRU Humanitarian Award for his dedication to bringing politically and socially conscious works to life in New York theater, and successfully using the arts for social change.

The show will include a song from Gutenberg the Musical, Mozingo and Zoller reprising their roles from Golden Boy of the Blue Ridge, Clean Alternatives with writer/actor Dykstra and excerpts from The Exonerated and Guantanamo performed by Gleason, Stevens and Faragallah. In addition, Powers will preview a song from upcoming Broadway musical Pure Country, and Anderson will sing a song from Yank!, which will open at the York Theatre in February 2010.
