Charles Strouse Set for Onstage Conversation at New School

Tony Award-winning composer Charles Strouse will participate in an onstage conversation with New School President Bob Kerrey and Robert LuPone,
director of The New School for Drama, at 6pm on Wednesday, October 28 in the John L. Tishman
Auditorium
at The New School.

The event is part of the school’s President’s Forum series. During the discussion, Strouse will explore his life in music, the state of the theater in these challenging times, and his body of work.

A revival of Strouse’s first Broadway show, the Tony Award-winning Bye Bye Birdie, written with Lee Adams and Michael Stewart, is currently in previews at Henry Miller’s Theatre. His other Tony-winning musicals are Applause and Annie. He was also Tony-nominated for Golden Boy, Charlie and Algernon, Rags, and Nick and Nora.
