(© Joseph Marzullo/WENN) | An additional list of presenters have been announced for the 61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, to be held on September 20 and air on CBS-TV, have been announced. Neil Patrick Harris, who was nominated for his role on How I Met Your Mother, will host the ceremony.
Theater veterans Alec Baldwin, Kevin Bacon, Ellen Burstyn, Dana Delany, Johnny Galecki, Ricky Gervais, Chris O'Donnell, Josh Radnor, Kyra Sedgwick, Sigourney Weaver, and Chandra Wilson will be among the presenters.
Other celebrities scheduled to present awards are Patricia Arquette, David Boreanaz, Jon Cryer, Kaley Cuoco, Cat Deeley, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tina Fey, Keifer Sutherland, Jon Hamm, Simon Baker, Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Alyson Hannigan, Jason Segel, Stephen Moyer, Kate Walsh, Jennifer Live Hewitt, LL Cool J, Tracy Morgan, Bob Newhart, Hayden Panetierre, Jim Parsons, Amy Poehler, Jason Segel, Justin Timberlake, Anna Torv, Michael J, Fox, and Jimmy Fallon.
Among the theater veterans who were recognized for their work on regular series this year are Gabriel Byrne (In Treatment), Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Glenn Close (Damages), Sally Field (Brothers & Sisters), Holly Hunter (Saving Grace), Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), Sedgwick (The Closer), Christina Applegate (Samantha Who?), Toni Collette (The United States of Tara), Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds), Baldwin (30 Rock), Tony Shalhoub (Monk), William Hurt (Damages), Michael Emerson (Lost), John Slattery (Mad Men), Vanessa Williams (Ugly Betty), Kristin Chenoweth (Pushing Daisies), Jane Krakowski (30 Rock), Sandra Oh (Grey's Anatomy), Chandra Wilson (Grey's Anatomy), Dianne Wiest (In Treatment), Hope Davis (In Treatment), and Cherry Jones (24).
In the miniseries and movie categories, nominees include Kevin Kline (Cyrano de Bergerac), Sir Ian McKellen (King Lear), Kenneth Branagh (Wallander), Shirley MacLaine (Coco Chanel), Jessica Lange (Grey Gardens), Sigourney Weaver (Prayers for Bobby), Ken Howard (Grey Gardens), Len Cariou (Into the Storm), Tom Courtenay (Little Dorrit), Marcia Gay Harden (The Courageous Heart of Irena Sandla), Jeanne Tripplehorn (Grey Gardens), Janet McTeer (Into the Storm), and Cicely Tyson (Relative Stranger).
The Creative Arts Emmy Awards were handed out on September 12; winners included actress Ellen Burstyn, choreographer Rob Ashford, and singer Justin Timberlake.
