Up in Westport, Connecticut on Monday night, the Westport Country Playhouse held its Footlights and Film gala, which raised over $1.4 million for the theater. Here are Oscar winners Joanne Woodward and Julia Roberts, the theater's artistic director and gala host, respectively.

On Tuesday, a press meet-and-greet was held for the new play Fault Lines, to begin performances on September 22 at the Cherry Lane. Here are playwright Stephen Belber and Geoffrey Nauffts, artistic director of Naked Angels, which is presenting the play.

On Wednesday, a press conference was held to formally announce that playwright Tony Kushner would receive the first annual Steinberg Distinguished Playwrights Award. Here are committee members Eduardo Machado, Oskar Eustis, Marc Masterston, Martha Lavey, and Andre Bishop with the award, which was designed by celebrity architect and set designer David Rockwell.
