NYMF's Next Broadway Sensation Names Finalists, First Week Hosts, and Judges

The New York Musical Theatre Festival's Next Broadway Sensation has named its 10 finalists: Frances Bordlee, Joe Enderson, Shawna M. Hamic, Mike Harrison, Omar Lopez-Cepero, Barbi McCulloch, Ariela Morgenstern, Jennifer Sánchez, Nesha Ward, and Jamaal Wilson. They will all compete in the first round of the competition at 11pm on Friday, September 19 at the Zipper Theatre.

The competition is sponsored by TheaterMania.com, which is providing video coverage of the competition on our website throughout the competition, and will webcast the finals, to be held live at the Zipper at 11pm on Friday, October 3. Week two's competition will be held on Friday, September 26 at 11pm at the Zipper.

The hosts for the September 19 event will be Colin Hanlon and Enrico Rodriguez, and sitting in the judge's seats this week will be Broadway stars Celia Keenan-Bolger and Barrett Foa, and casting director Michael Cassara. Week one's theme is "My Favorite Things," with contestants performing their favorite musical theater number. The show will be musical directed by Christopher D. Littlefield and directed by David F. Chapman.
