Playwrights Horizons has announced that its world premiere production of Nicky Silver's Three Changes will extend until October 3, and that Tim Hopper will take over the role of Nate from star Dylan McDermott on September 30. McDermott has a prior commitment.
The show, which co-stars Scott Cohen, Aya Cash, Brian J. Smith, and Maura Tierney and is directed by Wilson Milam, is about an Upper West Side couple whose comfortable marriage is disrupted when the husband's wayward brother arrives from Hollywood. Silver's many other plays include Raised in Captivity, Pterodactyls, The Food Chain.
The creative team includes Neil Patel (sets), Theresa Squire (costumes), Ben Stanton (lighting), and Bart Fasbender (sound). Milam received a Tony Award nomination for The Lieutenant of Inishmore.
