Legally Blonde star Kate Shindle will host the finals of The New York Musical Theatre Festival's Next Broadway Sensation competition at 11pm on Friday, October 3, at the Zipper Theater. The competition is sponsored by TheaterMania.com, which is providing video coverage of the competition on our website throughout the competition, and which will webcast the finals.
The field has been narrowed to three contestants, Shawna M. Hamic, Mike Harrison, and Omar Lopez-Cepero, one of whom will be crowned the winner. They will perform for a panel of guest judges that will include actors Colin Hanlon and Enrico Rodriguez and casting director Michael Cassara. The show will be directed by David F. Chapman, with music direction by Christopher D. Littlefield. A pre-show happy hour will begin at 10pm.
