Lynn Redgrave will perform her solo show Nightingale, based on the life of her grandmother, at New York's Culture Project at 8pm on Tuesday, September 27. She will also perform the play at Washington D.C.'s Corcoran Gallery of Art on September 28.
Redgrave has made frequent appearances on the London and New York stages for more than 40 years. She earned Tony Award nominations for Shakespeare For My Father (which she also wrote) and Mrs. Warren's Profession, and garnered rave reviews earlier this summer for her performance in The Constant Wife. She received both Drama Desk and Obie awards for her work in the Off-Broadway show Talking Heads. In 2006, Redgrave will be seen in Los Angeles and New York in Sir Peter Hall's production of The Importance of Being Earnest. Her films include Georgy Girl (Academy Award nomination), Gods and Monsters, and Kinsey.
A member of one of England's most renowned acting clans, Lynn Redgrave is the daughter of Sir Michael Redgrave and Rachel Kempson, the sister of Vanessa and Corin Redgrave, and the aunt of Natasha and Joely Richardson. She is also the mother of three children: Ben, Kelly, and Annabel Clark.
