(Photo © Michael Portantiere) | Ricky Ian Gordon, Adam Guettel, Cheyenne Jackson, Judy Kuhn, Susan Lucci, Idina Menzel, Phyllis Newman, Elizabeth Parkinson, Bernadette Peters, Patrick Quinn, Phylicia Rashad, Keith Roberts, Jai Rodriguez, Daniel Sunjata, and Patrick Wilson have joined the cast of Broadway's Celebrity Benefit for Hurricane Relief, which will take place on the stage of the Gershwin Theatre on Sunday, September 25 at 8:30pm.
All of the profits from the event, which is being produced by company members of Wicked, will go directly to America's Second Harvest and Quilts for Kids, two charitable organizations working directly with the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
As previously reported, Bryan Batt, Shoshana Bean, Victoria Clark, Charlotte D'Amboise, Jill Eikenberry, Raúl Esparza, Shuler Hensley, Megan Hilty, Bill Irwin, Brian d'Arcy James, Isabel Keating, Adriane Lenox, Terrence Mann, Rue McClanahan, Michael McElroy, Liza Minnelli, Julia Murney, Bebe Neuwirth, Kelli O'Hara, Denis O'Hare, David Hyde Pierce, Carole Shelley, Christopher Sieber, Michael Tucker, Ben Vereen, and Frederick Weller will appear.
The Broadway Inspirational Voices and the casts of The Light in the Piazza, Hairspray, Mamma Mia!, All Shook Up, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Avenue Q, Rent, and Wicked will also be on hand for the benefit.
Tickets for Broadway's Celebrity Benefit for Hurricane Relief are priced at $100 and $300. They are available at the Gershwin Theatre box office or by calling 212-307-4100.
