Drama Desk winner Bradford Louryk will star in Studio 42's world premiere presentation of The Most Lamentable & Tragic Historie of the Barber-Surgeons, written by Timothy Charles Browne. Moritz Von Stuelpnagel will direct this one-night benefit, to be held at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater at Playwrights Horizons, on Friday, August 22 at 8:30 pm and 11 pm.

In this grotesque romp through Medieval medicine, two intrepid Barber-Surgeons must try to save the whole of England after a Plague of Unknown Origin ravages the Land.

The cast will also include Varin Ayala, Samara Bay, Kelly Dupuis, Stephen Graybill, Amy Landon, Ethan Matthews, David Mitsch, Ariela Morgenstern, Chance Mullen, Lauren Orkus, and Natalie Saibel. The design team will include Bobby Frederick Tilley (costumes), Jason Lyons (lighting), Sharath Patel (sound), and Andrew Shapiro (original music.

Louryk, who will play Benedict Twine, won his Drama Desk for his solo performance in Christine Jorgensen Reveals. Additional credits include redbird, Jewish Mothers, and Klytaemnestra's Unmentionables.
