Broadway stars Hugh Panaro, Shelly Burch, and Kendra Kassebaum will headline the upcoming production of the Stephen Sondheim-George Furth musical Company at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle, October 17-November 5. The show will be directed by David Armstrong, with musical direction by Ian Eisendrath, set design by James Wolk, and costume design by Linda Salsbury.

Company focuses on the commitment-phobic Bobby (Panaro) and his interaction with various friends and lovers, including the tart-tongued Joanne (Burch) and the sweetly neurotic Amy (Kassebaum). The score features such songs as "Being Alive," "You Could Drive a Person Crazy," and "Another Hundred People."

The cast of the 5th Avenue Theatre production also includes Anne Allgood, Laurence Ballard, David Drummond, Lisa Estridge, Bobbi Kotula, Anna Lauris, Daniel C. Levine, Susannah Mars, Timothy McCuen Piggee, David Quicksall, and Billie Wildrick.

On Broadway, Panaro has played the title roles in The Phantom of the Opera and Lestat, and he co-starred in Side Show. Burch played Claudia in the original Broadway production of Nine; she was also seen on Broadway in Annie and in the 1978 revival of Stop the World -- I Want to Get Off. Kassebaum appeared in the Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of Sondheim's Assassins and recently played Glinda in the national tour of Wicked.
