Among those who will be appearing at the event are Elizabeth Ashley, Jayne Atkinson, Bill Berloni, Stephanie J. Block, Matt Cavanaugh, Michael Cerveris, Gavin Creel, Hope Davis, Christine Ebersole, Rupert Everett, Tovah Feldshuh, Sutton Foster, John Glover, Lauren Graham, Kate Jennings Grant, Zach Grenier, Haydn Gwynne, Marcia Gay Harden, Dee Hoty, Allison Janney, Gregory Jbara, Carol Kane, Andy Karl, Marc Kudisch, Angela Lansbury, Constantine Maroulis, Michael Mastro, Audra McDonald, Judy McLane, Becki Newton, Michael O'Keefe, Karen Olivo, David Hyde Pierce, Alice Ripley, Bryce Ryness, Christopher Sieber, J. The event, which will benefit New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies, is produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and sponsored by the ASPCA and Pedigree.

At 1pm, Peters will be signing her New York Times bestseller, Broadway Barks, at the event. The book includes an exclusive CD which features Peters reading the story and singing an original song for which she composed the music and lyrics. Peters' royalties from the sale of the book will go to the organization.
