Brooklyn's Gallery Players have announced the majority of its 2008-2009 season, which will begin with Seth Soloway's production of Steve Martin's comedy The Underpants (September 13-28), about a government clerk who think his wife's accidental display of her bloomers will cost him his job.

Up next will be Igor Goldin's production of the musical Like You Like It (October 18-November 2), by Sammy Buck and Daniel Acquisto, which transplants Shakespeare's As You Like It to 1985. That show will be followed by the popular A Tuna Christmas (December 6-21), by Ed Howard, Joe Sears, and Jaston Williams, set in a radio station in a small Texas town.

In 2009, after a musical still to be named, the company will present William Inge's classic drama Bus Stop (March 14-29), about an aspiring nightclub singer who's kidnapped by a romantic cowboy, and The Who's Tommy (May 2-24), based on the legendary album from the rock supergroup about a deaf, dumb, and blind young man who gains fame as a pinball player. The season will end with the company's 12th Annual Black Box New Play Festival (June 6-21).
