Savion Glover, Mark Morris, Basil Twist, Christopher Wheeldon, et al. Set for City Center’s Fall for Dance Festival

Additional participating artists have been announced for City Center‘s 2009 Fall for Dance Festival, to run September 22-October 3.
Appearing in the festival will be The Australian Ballet, Ballet West, Basil Twist, Batsheva Dance Company, DanceBrazil, Dendy Dancetheater, Diana Vishneva, Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, Mark Morris Dance Group, Monica Bill Barnes & Company, Tangueros del Sur, Sang Jijia, Savion Glover & The OtheRz, Boston Ballet, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal, New York City Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Morphoses/The Wheeldon Company, Martha Graham Dance Company, and Paul Taylor Dance Company. Many of the companies will pay tributes to the Ballet Russes.
In conjunction with the festival, there will be three public pre-performance panel discussions, on September 23, September 25, and October 3. Participants will include Mark Dendy, Robert Johnson, Alexei Ratmansky, Christopher Wheeldon, and Raven Wilkinson, among others.
In addition, Arlene Shuler, the president and CEO of City Center, will be given the 58th Annual Capezio Dance Award on September 22. Shuler performed with the Joffrey Ballet.
