Audra McDonald, Idina Menzel, New York Pops to Be Part of Macy's 4th of July Fireworks

The New York Pops, under the direction of Steven Reineke, will perform as part of the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks from the flight deck of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. The event will be broadcast nationally on NBC-TV, beginning at 9pm, with the musical accompaniment being available simultaneously on New York radio station 1010 WINS.

As part of the program, the Pops will perform Stephen Flaherty and William Schemerhorn's American River Suite, which will feature the pre-recorded vocals of Tony Award winners Audra McDonald and Idina Menzel, as well as the Choir Academy of Harlem.

Spectators can view the 26-minute spectacle from West 23rd to West 59th Street, including the West Side Highway, Dewitt Clinton Park, Pier 54 and Pier 84.
