The Shakespeare Society will present Lynn Redgrave in her latest one-woman show, Rachel and Juliet, for one night at the Kaye Playhouse, June 2.
The solo is a tribute to Redgrave's mother, Rachel Kempson, and her lifelong love of the role of Juliet. The show -- described as a companion piece to Shakespeare for My Father, about her father Michael Redgrave -- interweaves remembrance, anecdote, and passages from Shakespeare.
Redgrave received Tony Award nominations for her work in The Constant Wife, Shakespeare for My Father, and Mrs. Warren's Profession. She won Obie and Drama Desk Awards for Talking Heads. Redgrave is also a two-time Oscar nominee for Georgy Girl and Gods and Monsters. Redgrave most recently starred in MCC's production of Grace.
