(© Joseph Marzullo/Retna) | The Philadelphia Theatre Company has announced preliminary plans for its 2007-2008 season, which will be its first at its new home on the Avenue of the Arts.
The season will kick off with Kathy Bates in the world premiere of Terrence McNally's Unusual Acts of Devotion (October 26-November 25). Bates starred in the original Off-Broadway production of McNally's Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune.
That production will be followed by the late Wendy Wasserstein's final play, Third (dates TBA), and the world premiere of Bill Irwin's new work, The Happiness Lecture (May 16-June 15). A fourth play will be announced at a later date.
