Bound for Broadway V, a presentation of scenes and songs from seven new musicals in development, will take place on Monday, June 6 at 8pm at Merkin Concert Hall.

Actress/singer Liz Callaway will host the event. It will include sneak peaks at Marty, a musical adaptation of the Oscar-winning 1955 movie of the same title, with a score by Charles Strouse and Lee Adams and a book by Rupert Holmes; Larry Bortniker's Dr. Sex, which is tentatively planning to open in Manhattan this fall; and Heaven Knows, with music and lyrics by Charles Bloom.

Also excerpted will be The Frog Prince (book and lyrics by Charles Leipart, music by Eric Schorr); The Story of My Life (book by Brian Hill, music and lyrics by Neil Bartram); I Love You Because (words by Ryan Cunningham, music by Josh Salzman); and The Twelve Days of Christmas, a musical revue conceived and directed by Michael Scheman, with songs by many different writers inspired by the eponymous carol.

Among those scheduled to perform in Bound for Broadway V are Stephanie D'Abruzzo, Richard Todd Abrams, Donna Lynne Champlin, Perry Ojeda, Jenny Powers, Benjie Randall, Julie Reyburn, Melanie Vaughn, and Sally Wilfert.
