If it's true that spring can really hang you up the most, why not hang out at New York's cabarets and clubs, where the entertainment is guaranteed to lift anyone's spirits.

Feinstein's at the Loews Regency has a very Tony lineup with Broadway stars Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley (through April 7), Sutton Foster (April 6 and 20), and the ageless and peerless Barbara Cook (April 14-May 2). Meanwhile, The Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel is presenting two of its most beloved songbirds, KT Sullivan (through April 11) and Maude Maggart (April 14-May 23), and the swanky Café Carlyle offers the sensational Kelli O'Hara (through April 15) and the wonderful Judy Collins (April 18-May 30).

The always exciting goings-on at Birdland include appearances by Jason Robert Brown (through April 4), Jessica Molaskey with the John Pizzarelli quartet (through April 4), Linda Lavin and Billy Stritch (April 6), Peter Eldridge (April 13), the Hilary Kole Trio (April 19), Victoria Shaw (April 20), Laurel Massé (April 27), and Karyn Allison (April 29-May 2).

The Metropolitan Room continues to bring in some of the country's finest acts, including Barbara Brussell (April 1-4, 10-11), Judith Owen (April 2-4), Lennie Watts (April 5), Tony Award winner Chuck Cooper (April 6, 13), Martin Vidnovic (April 6, 13, 20), Baby Jane Dexter (April 16-18, 23-25, 30), and Anna Bergman (April 18, 22, 25, 29).

Joe's Pub's something-for-everyone offerings include appearances by Susan Werner (April 4), Justin Bond (April 5, 12, 26), Jill Sobule (April 14), Our Hit Parade with Bridget Everett, Kenny Mellman, and Neal Medlyn (April 15), Tammy Faye Starlite (April 16), Julian Fleisher (April 16), Marta Gomez (April 17), Jesse Winchester (April 21), Lucy Kaplansky (April 25), and Daniel Beaty (April 26).

The West Bank Cafe's Laurie Beechman Theatre hosts Mark Winkler and Mary Foster Conklin (April 4), Aaron Lazar (April 6), Heather MacRae (April 13) Christina Bianco (April 14 and 18), Scot Albertson with the Daryl Kojak Trio (April 16), and Jeffrey Wilgus (April 26 and 27).

Finally, at the Triad, there's the hilarious Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words (April 6, 13, 20, 27) and the new revue Brother, Can You Spare a Dime? (April 2-4, 9-11, 16-18, 25-27).
