On Tuesday night, the annual PENCIL gala, honoring more than 500 New York City Public School-Business partnerships, was held at Cipriani Wall Street. The presenters included Liam Neeson, who will star this summer in Gate/Beckett as part of the Lincoln Center Festival.

On Monday night, Emmy Award winner Leslie Jordan flew into town to perform his hilarious solo show My Life on the Pink Carpet at New World Stages as a benefit for The Harvey Milk School -- and to receive a community service award from GAYFEST NYC.

Finally, on April 12, the Boys Town of Italy Gala was held at the Ritz-Carlton in White Plains. Here's one of the evening's honorees, the multi-talented Tommy Tune, with world-renowned band leader Peter Duchin.
