Aaron Lazar will play Lt. Cable, Reba McEntire will play Nellie Forbush, and Brian Stokes Mitchell will play Emile DeBecque in the Hollywood Bowl's concert presentation of Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical South Pacific, August 3-5.

The production, to feature the Hollywood Bowl orchestra, will be directed by David Lee, with musical direction by Paul Gemignani. Additional casting will be announced at a later date. McEntire and Mitchell previously played these roles at Carnegie Hall, a performance that was taped for PBS. Lazar recently left the cast of the Broadway revival of Les Miserables.

Other artists scheduled to appear at the Hollywood Bowl include opera singer Dawn Upshaw (May 18-20), Burt Bacharach (June 5), Queen Latifah (July 11), Jamie Cullum (July 20-21), Savion Glover (July 22), Gladys Knight and Wayne Brady (July 27-28), Diana Krall (August 18), Nancy Wilson (August 29), and Rufus Wainwright (September 23).
