Stage and television star Julie White will headline a reading of Kate Snodgrass' Parallelogram, one of six works to be presented at the Huntington Theatre Company's Breaking Ground Festival of New Play Readings, April 19-22.

That work, to be presented on April 21, concerns two scientists working in very different worlds who find themselves connected by a common thread. White appeared earlier this season on Broadway in The Little Dog Laughed and is known for her work on the TV series Six Feet Under and Grace Under Fire.

The Festival will begin with Melinda Lopez's family comedy Alexandros (April 19), and continues with Stephen Belber's Geometry of Fire, starring Marin Ireland (April 20), Sinan Unel's The Cry of the Reed (April 21), Matt Hoverman's Searching for God in Suburbia (April 22), and John Shea's Claire Silva, starring Boston-area favorites Will LeBow and Karen MacDonald.

All the readings are free but reservations are recommended. Call 617-266-0800 or email tickets@huntingtontheatre.org.
