Athol Fugard, James Earl Jones, Nancy Wilson to Receive Honorary Degrees at Juilliard’s Commencement Ceremony
The Juilliard School has announced the artists who will receive honorary doctoral degrees at its 107th Commencement Ceremony, May 25 at 11am in Alice Tully Hall. Degree recipient Athol Fugard will deliver the commencement address.
Juilliard President Joseph W. Polisi will read special citations and present honorary degrees to these outstanding artists, who will all be in attendance. In addition to Fugard, degree recipients include William Christie, James Earl Jones, Peter Martins, Nancy Wilson, Steven Naifeh, and Gregory White Smith.
Julliard will award a total of 277 degrees at the ceremony, which will be will be streamed online at www.juilliard.edu/live.
