(© Joseph Marzullo/WENN) | Asolo Rep will present a re-imagined version of the 1978 Broadway musical Working, May 14-June 8. The production will be directed by Gordon Greenberg, with choreography by Joshua Rhodes and music direction by Mark Hartman.
Based on Studs Terkel's book of the same name, the show features a score by Stephen Schwartz, Micki Grant, James Taylor, Craig Carnelia, and Mary Rodgers. Lin-Manuel Miranda, the composer-lyricist of In the Heights, will contribute new music to this production.
The cast will feature Marie France-Arcilla, Darrin Baker, Colin Donnell, Danielle Lee Greaves, Nehal Joshi, and Liz McCartney. The creative team features Beouwolf Borrit (sets and projections), Matte Ulrich (costumes), Jeff Croiter (lighting), and Aaron Rhyne (projections). Greenberg's credits include Happy Days: The Musical and The Baker's Wife.
