Hilary Kole, Douglas Hodge, Linda Lavin, et al. to Perform at Birdland in February

Birdland has announced programming for February.

Linda Lavin will present her new show Possibilities on Monday, February 21 at 7pm. The concert will celebrate her new CD of the same name. Accompanying Linda will be Billy Stritch on piano, Bucky Pizzarelli on guitar, John Brown on bass, Aaron Weinstein on violin and Steve Bakunas on drums.

As previously reported, Tony Award winner Douglas Hodge will perform in concert on Monday, February 7 at 7pm. He will be joined by musical director Sonny Paladino and a four-piece band.

The February line-up will also include Saxophone Summit: Joe Lovano, Dave Liebman & Ravi Coltrane (February 1-5); vocalist Hilary Kole (February 8-12); the six-time Grammy nominated jazz-fusion quartet Oregon (February 15-19); and Quest: Dave Liebman, Richie Beirach, Ron McClure & Billy Hart (February 22-26).

In addition, regularly monthly engagements include The Birdland Jazz Party featuring Kole and a rotating line-up of musicians on Sunday nights at 6pm; Chico O’Farrill’s Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra on Sundays at 9 & 11pm; Jim Caruso’s “Cast Party” on Mondays at 9:30pm; and The Louis Armstrong Centennial Band aka David Ostwald’s Gully Low Jazz Band on Wednesdays at 5pm.
