Ted Danson, Sally Field, Sandra Oh, Mary Steenburgen, et al. Set for Hearts on Fire Benefit Honoring Terrence McNally

Ted Danson, Sally Field, Sandra Oh, and Mary Steenburgen have joined the cast of Hearts on Fire, to be performed at 5:30pm on January 30 at the Matilija Auditorium in Ojai, California. The piece will pay tribute to four-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally, who will be hand to receive the 2010 OPC Award. Proceeds from the event will benefit Ojai Playwrights Conference.

The performance will feature performances of scenes from McNally’s plays. Also scheduled to perform are Dana Delany, John Glover, Jane Kaczmarek, Amanda McBroom, Zachary Quinto, Steven Weber, and Noah Wyle. The benefit evening will also include a dinner-dance and auction.

McNally’s newest play Golden Age, will premiere at the Philadelphia Theatre Company running January 22 -February 14, followed by a run from March 12-April 4 at the Kennedy Center.

He has won Tony Awards for his plays Master Class and Love! Valour! Compassion! and his books for the musicals Ragtime and Kiss of the Spider Woman. His other plays include Lips Togehter, Teeth Apart, which will be seen on Broadway later this season; The Ritz, Frankie and Johnny at the Claire de Lune, and Some Men.
